4 Fiesta de Vendimia (Wine Grape Harvest Festival)+* Celebrated in the costal city of Ensenada, Baja California where wine tasting of Mexico’s largest and most famous vineyards of the Santo Tomas Valley is offered along with a variety of traditional Mexican dishes.
15 Fiesta del Elote (Corn Festival)+* --In the town of Tala, Nayarit, between the cities of Tepic and Guadalajara, the corn festival takes place and featuring in the event is a wide variety of Mexican antojitos (appetizers and snacks) based on the corn tortilla. For entertainment there are bullfights, cockfights, games and procesions.
15 Assunción de la Virgen María (Feast of the Assumption)+ All of México celebrates but the liveliest celebrations take place in Huamantla, Tlaxcala with its floral street carpet, in Cholula, Puebla and Milpa Alta, near México City.
20 Feria del Algodón y la Uva (Cotton and Grape Fair) Gomez Palacio, Durango, celebrates from August 20th thru September 5th its two mostimportant crops with a fair where commercial and agricultural displays, regional food, entertainment and beauty contests are enjoyed.
